Your reptile eats every week; pet-store cups are stale and marketplace counts are creative. We source feeder insects from specialist breeders, confirm the count and size are in stock that day, and quote the exact total before anything is charged. Set up a standing reorder in your request and we'll confirm each shipment the same way β a reorder never silently charges your card.
Every listing states the count and size class up front. If a breeder's "medium" runs small, the confirmation step tells you before you're charged β not after you open the cup.
The staple feeder: quiet, odorless-ish, can't climb smooth walls, and nutritionally hard to beat. Also sold as starter colonies β ask in the notes.
β No shipping to FL / AL / HIStaple feederColony starters availableThe hydration treat: soft, bright, and irresistible to picky eaters. They grow fast β order the size your animal eats this week, not next month.
Treat feederShips in food cupLow-fat, high-calcium, soft-bodied β the feeder vets recommend and pet stores rarely stock. Seasonal availability is real; the confirmation step tells you straight.
Premium feederSeasonalCalcium-rich enough to skip dusting, and they keep for weeks in a cool spot. Sold under names like Calciworms/Phoenix Worms β same insect, our listing just says so.
High calciumLong shelf lifeHardier and longer-lived than the common house cricket, with a softer chirp. Sized by the breeder's gauge; we confirm the size class with your order.
Staple feederSize confirmed per orderThe classic: cheap, storable in the fridge, and right for leopard geckos, birds, and hedgehogs. Honest note: they're a fine staple for some animals and a treat-only for others β chitin is real.
Staple feederFridge-storableThe bigger, active cousin β movement that triggers feeding responses in larger lizards. Don't refrigerate (it kills them); room temperature with bedding and a carrot.
Large feederDo not refrigerateWe are a sourcing service, not a warehouse. Feeders shipped from a breeder's current stock arrive alive; feeders warehoused for weeks arrive as a refund conversation.
Typical timeline: confirmation within 1 business day; most breeders ship live orders MondayβWednesday only, so a Friday request usually ships the following Monday. We'll always tell you the ship date before charging you.
Live insects are perishable. Orders ship early in the week (MonβWed) to avoid weekend warehouse stays. During extreme heat or cold, shipments may be held until a safe window β we email you before any hold, and you may cancel for a full refund instead of waiting. "Hold for pickup" at your local carrier hub is available on request and strongly recommended in summer and winter.
If a significant portion of your order arrives dead, email us within 24 hours of the carrier's delivery scan with a clear photo of the shipment as received. We will, at your choice: reship once at no charge, or refund the item price (shipping refunded if the carrier/supplier accepts responsibility for a transit delay). Normal transit stress β a small number of losses in a bulk count β is not DOA; as a working rule, losses above roughly 10% of a counted order qualify. We never ask you to ship dead insects back.
Live goods cannot be returned and restocked β that would be unsafe for the animals and for other customers. Cancellation is free any time before your card is charged (i.e., before you approve the confirmed total). After shipment, the DOA policy above is the remedy. Wrong species, size class, or short count? That's on us: reship or full refund, your choice.
Dubia roaches cannot be shipped to Florida, Alabama, or Hawaii β state rules, no exceptions, and the confirmation step enforces it even if the order slips through the form. Most other feeders ship to most states, but a few species face state-level rules. Our confirmation step checks your destination for your exact item before any charge β state legality is confirmed before charging, never assumed. [Placeholder: final restriction matrix to be completed before launch.]
Feeders are a consumable; the reorder is the product. Ask for a standing reorder in your first request and we'll set your item, count, and cadence in our order book. Before each shipment we re-confirm stock and price with the breeder and email you the total β you approve, we charge, it ships. Skip or cancel any cycle before approval at no cost. Prices genuinely move with breeder supply, and we'd rather confirm each time than promise a fixed price we can't keep.
Discoid roaches are the usual Florida-legal substitute and feed almost identically; BSFL and hornworms also ship to Florida without the dubia restriction. Put "Florida substitute" in your request notes and the confirmation step will quote the closest match.
Breeders count by weight or volume against a known sample β standard practice, and counts typically run a few percent over to cover transit loss. If your order arrives visibly short (well beyond the ~10% transit-stress line), the DOA/short-count remedy applies: reship or refund, your choice.
Yes β that's the standing reorder above. You approve each shipment's confirmed total before it charges; nothing ships or bills silently. Skip a cycle whenever your animal slows down (brumation is real).
Never at request time β only after breeder confirmation and your approval of the exact total. Can't source it at that price? Hold released, you pay nothing.
Yes, with breeder-standard packaging (insulated box, phase pack as needed) and MonβWed shipping windows. Our DOA policy covers arrival losses with a photo within 24 hours of the delivery scan.
Prototype form β submitting does not place an order or charge anything. In the live version, this form opens the concierge flow described above.
